New Delhi. In 1991, Saif Ali Khan married actress Amrita Singh, who was about 10 years older than him. The Pataudi family was against this marriage, but Saif insisted on his choice and got Amrita accepted in the family. When Sharmila Tagore was asked about this for the first time, she openly shared her feelings and reaction at that time.
In an episode of ‘Koffee with Karan’, Sharmila Tagore told that when she got the news that Saif had married Amrita, she became very upset. Sharmila Tagore told that she went to meet Saif and tried to convince him, but Saif told her that he was already married. Hearing this, Sharmila Tagore had tears in her eyes and was saddened by this marriage. She felt that this was not right.
