She is a freelance producer and wanted to live in a cheaper place. She also has a pub breed dog, Gilbert, so she was looking for a place where she could keep the dog as well. She told that she was paying rent of only 900 pounds (94 thousand rupees) per month for one room.

She says that ever since she shifted to that boat, her mental health has improved and she no longer suffers from depression.

But they have to face a lot of challenges during cold days. It gets so cold inside the house that even the water kept for their dog freezes. He posted a video on the social media platform TikTok, which showed that when he left the coffee in a cup for a few hours, the coffee got frozen and was not coming out of the cup. But despite all this, Shannon now saves Rs 1.2 lakh a month, because living on a boat is much less than the household expenses. However, due to cold, he completely gave up living on the boat last year. Now she will go to live on a boat again during summer. Many such people live on boats and the girl has created a community with them.
