Entered hotel with fake ID, stopped at Starbucks… then shot ‘United Healthcare’ CEO in the chest, big revelation

New Delhi: Brian Thompson, CEO of American health insurance company UnitedHealth, was murdered outside a midtown Manhattan hotel on Wednesday morning. The police is investigating this matter and is continuously making revelations. However, the shooter who committed the murder has still not been caught by the police. The search for the killer continued on the second day also.

According to CNN report, a new video of the killer has surfaced. It is seen in the video that the suspect stopped at Starbucks moments before committing the crime and fled from the scene towards Central Park on an e-bike. The police are still searching for the killer.

The suspected gunman who shot and killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson used a fake New Jersey driver’s license when he checked into an Upper West Side hostel, according to an investigating officer. Multiple officials told CNN that the ID was used to check-in on November 30.

What does the company UnitedHealth do?
UnitedHealth is America’s largest health insurer and Thompson was CEO of UnitedHealthcare, a unit of UnitedHealth Group, since April 2021. The murder occurred just hours before the city’s annual Christmas tree lighting at Rockefeller Center, a televised event that draws huge crowds. Police officials said that this program will be held as per schedule amid heavy security.
