Israel Hamas: Hezbollah, which is a terrorist organization equipped with the world’s most sophisticated weapons, gave a tough fight to the Israeli army in the war. And America had to intervene and get a ceasefire, but the reason for which this war started is still the same, that is, the war against Hamas is going on in Gaza. Many times Egypt, Qatar, America also held several rounds of talks between Israel and Hamas regarding ceasefire, but things did not work out. Now after Trump’s threat, efforts for talks are starting again. Israeli media, quoting Qatari reports, said that an Israeli delegation led by Israeli Security Agency director Ronen Bar will go to Egypt on Thursday for fresh hostage talks with Hamas and will negotiate for the release of the hostages.
Hamas and Israeli insist on ceasefire
After the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, Hamas was also interested in having a ceasefire with Israel and indications were also given about this. According to Israeli media, the Palestinian terror group has sent a message to Egypt, Qatar and Turkey asking for agreement on ceasefire in exchange for the return of Israeli hostages captured by Hamas. However, Hamas also knows that as long as the hostage is in its possession, Israel is in its hands, hence it wants to get all its demands fulfilled. This includes ending the war in exchange for the release of hostages, Israel’s complete withdrawal from Gaza and the release of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, after the attack on October 7, clearly said that the war will continue until Hamas is completely destroyed. Although Israel made proposals to Hamas five times for the release of hostages, each proposal was rejected.
Trump’s threat
After a threat from Trump, talks are starting again. Trump had said in his threatening message that if the hostages are not released by January 20, 2025, there will be devastation in the entire Middle East and strict action will be taken against those who are committing atrocities against humanity. He also said, those who have done this will be given the biggest punishment in the history of America. However, changes are being seen in the situation even before Trump comes to the White House. But the question is that the way attacks and counter attacks are continuing even after the ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel, it is difficult to say what the situation will be like after the return of the hostages.
