America’s elected President Donald Trump seems to be very kind to people of Indian origin. He is working on a plan to give an important post to another person of Indian origin. The name of this person is Kash Patel. I wish Donald Trump can give Patel a bigger responsibility in the FBI or the Justice Department. However, controversy over Kaash Patel’s name cannot be ruled out, because he has been very aggressive against Trump’s political opponents.
Kash Patel is a lawyer by profession and worked in the Justice Department during Obama’s tenure. When Trump took office, he was made Senior Counsel. Then in 2017-2018, he was made the head of the Intelligence Committee in the House. During this, he strongly criticized the FBI’s investigation in Russia. In this way he came closer to Trump. In 2018, Trump made him the Senior Director for Counter Terrorism in the National Security Council. After this, in the last days of Trump’s presidency, he got another promotion and was made the Chief of Staff of the then acting Defense Minister Christopher Miller.
Kash Patel has been known as an aggressive officer. He openly talks about taking revenge against Trump’s opponents within the government and in the media. He has also written a book of his own. In that too he has written openly about Trump’s opponents.
According to the report, when Trump was the last President, in the last days of his tenure, he was going to make Kash Patel the deputy director of CIA or FBI. But, he could not do so because at that time CIA Director Gina Haspel and Attorney General William Barr had threatened to resign. However, the report says that the final decision regarding Kash Patel has not been taken yet. Donald Trump has announced to give important positions in his administration to many other leaders of Indian origin. He has made Vivek Ramaswamy the co-head of the Department of Government Efficiency.
