This time he addressed Trudeau as ‘Governor of the Great State of Canada’ (Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada). This taunt of Trump has come within a few days of his statement when he had talked about ‘making Canada the 51st state of America’.
Trump has made this comment on his social media platform Truth Social. He wrote, It was great to have dinner with Justin Trudeau, Governor of the Great State of Canada. The comments come more than a week after Trudeau dined with Trudeau at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
There was talk of imposing 25 percent tax.
Trump had threatened that unless he stopped the flow of immigrants and drugs, he would impose a 25% tax on all types of products entering the US from Canada and Mexico. Canada’s then Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc was also present at the dinner. Later he said that Trump had made this comment jokingly.
Working with Trump will be challenging, says Trudeau
