US President-elect Donald Trump said on Sunday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready for a deal to end his country’s war with Russia and called on Vladimir Putin to move towards talks. Referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump wrote on social media, “Zelensky and Ukraine want to make a deal and stop the madness.”

Why does Trump want a ceasefire?
Here he also requested Putin. Donald Trump on Sunday called on Russian leader Vladimir Putin to take action for an immediate ceasefire with Ukraine. He described this as part of his active efforts as president-elect to end the war. Trump said he knew Putin “well,” and said it was “time to take action” to end the Russia-Ukraine war, which has killed hundreds of people on both sides of the border.
His comments came a day after meeting Zelensky in Paris, where French President Emmanuel Macron hosted three-way talks at the Elysee Palace on Saturday. Although earlier Trump often said that he was not going to bow down to Putin. But now Trump has changed his stance. It can be understood from his statements that he seems to be ‘bowing’ before Putin.
