China India issue: China is already competing to become the most powerful country in the world. Till a few years ago this path used to be easy. Because it used to face challenge only from America but now it is facing challenge from India also. The deployment of America’s Guam military base in the South China Sea is a big problem for China. The biggest obstacle is China’s occupation of Taiwan. To eliminate this obstacle, China is continuously increasing the strength of its rocket force. Under this, China has included Dong Feng DF-26 Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile in its rocket force in the year 2016. It is also known as Guam Killer. That means the American base in Guam is within its reach. America is a challenge for China but its deployment in Tibet also shows the challenge it is facing from India.
What is the work of Guam Killer in WTC?
There has been a lot of activity in the last few years in China’s Western Theater Commodity (WTC) bordering India. Amidst the dispute between India and China that started in 2020, in the year 2022-23, China even deployed its DF-26 i.e. Guam Killer in WTC. The reason is clear that now China has started considering India as a big threat. Keeping in mind the challenges faced by India, the Chinese PLA established a new missile brigade in the Western Theater Command. It is part of the Chinese 64 missile base. Intermediate range ballistic missile DF-26 has been deployed in this brigade. The range of this missile is 4000 to 5000 kilometers. This missile system is deployed on a 10-wheeler. It can be easily moved as per need. The specialty of the design of this multi-role DF-26 is that the conventional warhead can be replaced with a nuclear warhead in a short time.

DF-26 can carry out land attacks as well as anti-ship strikes in the Western Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean region and South China Sea. It was also revealed in an American report that the entire India and half of the Indian Ocean region is within the range of the DF-26. China can target any warship. According to experts, this brigade has been deployed in response to India’s Agni 5. Major cities of China including Beijing are in the range of Indian Agni 5. Now India has many such missiles which can hit far inside China.
India deployed DF-26 destroyer
While China has deployed DF-26 in WTC, India has also deployed the Guam Killer DF-26 missile. India has deployed S-400 air defense system from Russia to destroy any Guam killer of China. India has made a deal to purchase five S-400 systems from Russia. India has received 3 of these systems. The range of S-400 is 400 kilometers. Can stop any aerial attack of the enemy including strategic bombers, electric warfare planes, reconnaissance aircraft, early warning radar aircraft, fighter aircraft, armored drones and ballistic missiles. Its powerful radar can track enemy aerial targets from a distance of 600 kilometers. As soon as the target comes in range the missile is launched. China’s rocket force has missiles of different ranges. Which China will definitely use during the war, keeping this in mind India has deployed S-400.
