Due to this, there was a lot of pressure on his right lung. Then the doctors decided that they would put 15 screws in Stephanie’s skull. These screws are connected to a band of metal called hello. This halo is attached to some ropes which remain above Stephanie’s head.
Surgery could have cost me my life
By pulling those ropes, their spinal bones also become straight, which reduces the effect of scoliosis. Stephanie first wanted to get surgery done, but when she came to know that the surgery could even cost her life, she did not take such a step. Now she will live with this her entire life.
