West Champaran:- On Monday, something happened in Chuhri in West Champaran district of Bihar, which the entire village gathered to see. Hundreds of villagers were seen catching a crocodile about five feet long from a pond with a net. After catching the crocodile in the net, children, old and young all together hung it on their shoulders and then brought it out of the pond to the fields and tied it to an iron cage. After tying him in a cage, the villagers took him to a happy place, where he reached after receiving information. The crocodile was handed over to the Forest Department team in safe condition.

Crocodile was visible in the pond for eight months
Let us tell you that a large crocodile was being seen in a pond in Chuhari village located in Chanpatia block of the district for the last eight months. According to villager Lal Babu, everyone around the pond was aware that a crocodile was living there. To avoid any kind of accident, the villagers tried to catch him several times, but due to fear this task could not be completed. As the crocodile grew and he started cleaning the fishes of the pond, the villagers decided to catch him at any cost.

If the villagers are to be believed, they had also informed the forest department about this. But by the time the forest workers reached there and started the rescue operation, the villagers themselves captured the crocodile with the help of a fishing net. The thing to note is that after catching the crocodile, the villagers tied it with a rope and then carried it on their shoulders and started carrying it like a sack. The surprising thing is that small children were also included among those who hung the crocodile on their shoulders.

Crocodile handed over to forest department
Let us tell you that the crocodile was about 5 feet long and weighed 80 kg. After catching him, the villagers brought him to the ground and tied him to an iron cage. During this period, neither any accident happened to any villager nor did the crocodile get hurt. Meanwhile, the forest department team arrived on the information of the villagers and took the crocodile into their custody. If forest workers are to be believed, the crocodile might have reached here with the help of some canal originating from the Gandak river. After the rescue, it will now be released back into the Gandak river.
