New Delhi: Kabir Duhan Singh has played a strong character in ‘Marco’, which people are praising, but it had a bad effect on his mental health. He told how the role of Cyrus affected him mentally. Talking about this, Kabir said, ‘I was waiting for the recognition I got for Marco for a long time and the tremendous response it received further strengthened my identity as an actor.’
Kabir Duhan Singh said that playing the role of Cyrus was very challenging for him and completely different from any dark character he had played before. Talking about a scene in the film, the actor said, ‘A scene in the film pushed me beyond my limits. The scene also includes the murder of a pregnant woman. This character is arguably the most brutal villain of Indian cinema and it was not at all easy to bring him to life. It wasn’t just a matter of switching on and off; Meditation remained my support during this difficult transformation.
Kabir’s tremendous role in ‘Marco’
Talking about the action thriller ‘Marco’, it has been written and directed by Hanif Adeni. The film stars Unni Mukundan in the lead role, while Siddique, Jagadeesh, Abhimanyu S Thilakan, Anson Paul and Yukthi Thareja are in supporting roles. ‘Marco’ is the story of Addattu, one of the most famous gold trading families of Kerala. An incident shakes the Adattu family. Family patriarch George sets out to uncover the truth and find those responsible. At the same time, his younger brother, Marco, also sets out on the same quest, but on a different path.

Along with Hindi, Kabir Duhan Singh has also worked in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam language films. Kabir made his mark as a villain after making his debut with the Telugu film ‘Jil’ in 2015. One of his notable performances as a villain is in the 2016 film Sardaar Gabbar Singh. He also worked in the Bollywood film ‘Khaali Peeli’ in 2020. Ishaan Khattar, Ananya Pandey and Jaideep Ahlawat are in important roles in the film directed by Maqbool Khan.
