‘No one left, had to sell the house, am living on rent, thought of suicide many times’, Sajid Khan pours out his pain

New Delhi. The ‘MeToo’ campaign started from Hollywood, but the fire of this campaign reached Bollywood and such allegations were made against many famous stars, after hearing which everyone was stunned. A famous director also became a victim of this campaign. Who has been yearning for a film for the last several years. This director is none other than Sajid Khan, about whom he is now in pain. Sajid Khan told in a recent interview that in the last 6 years, he has tried to end his own life several times.

Sajid Khan has spoken openly about this in a recent interview with Hindustan Times. In which Sajid Khan said, ‘I have thought about ending my life many times in the last six years.

worst period of my life
This has been the worst phase of my life. Even after getting the green signal from the Film and Television Directors Association, I had no work for 6 years. I have been working in this film industry for 14 years. After my father, all of us brothers and sisters started working here. I would have been happy to have my mother see that I was standing on my feet again. I have gone through the worst phase of my career in the last 6 years.

I was too outspoken, so I offended people
He further said, ‘Now everyone does this on YouTube, but in the initial days of my career, I used to do sensational things just to make headlines. When I worked on TV, my job was to entertain people. I used to offend many people. When I watch some of my interviews today, I feel like I could go back with a time machine and stop that guy – say, ‘Idiot, what are you saying? Why are you so outspoken?’ Words don’t matter, actions matter. Because I was too outspoken, I offended people. Whenever I realized it, I would apologize, but when work stops, you start questioning your life. I have calmed down. Now I just want to live by working.

My case was a one-sided trial by the media
Let us tell you that in the year 2018, Bollywood actresses also participated in the ‘MeToo’ campaign and also narrated their experiences. During this time, Sajid was shooting for his film Housefull 4. Then some actresses including Sherlyn Chopra also accused Sajid Khan of MeToo, after which Sajid had to face a lot of criticism. He said, ‘I left ‘Housefull 4’ because I did not want the dates to change. My case was a one-sided trial by the media. I have never disrespected women and I never will. My mother taught me to believe in gender equality. I didn’t know that I would have to pay such a heavy price for my words.
