This has been seen after 15 years. A new tiger has entered the Garhwa area, due to which the forest department is on full alert mode.
Actually, there are believed to be 7 tigers in Palamu Tiger Reserve, which are being continuously tracked. According to the Forest Department, there are a total of 6 tigers in Palamu Tiger Reserve. Recently, a tiger has been seen in the area of Garhwa, whose skate sample and pug mark are being examined. It is being ascertained whether the tiger present in the area of Garhwa is one of the 5 or whether a new tiger has entered. .

Director Kumar Ashutosh told Local18 that there are 5 tigers and 1 tigress present in Palamu Tiger Reserve. Recently a tiger has been seen in Garhwa area, which is being tracked. Till now the picture of this tiger has not been captured in the camera trap. After the investigation report comes, it will be known whether the tiger present in Garhwa area is one of the five or another tiger. He said that this has happened after 15 years. Earlier in 2010, there were 6 tigers in Palamu Tiger Reserve, after which their number kept decreasing. The picture of a tiger appeared for the first time in March 2022, after which their number increased and now again 5 tigers and 1 tigress are present.
There were not even a single tiger in 2018
He further said that in 2010, there were 6 tigers present in the area, after which their number started decreasing. In 2014, their number became 3. While their number became 0 in 2018, their number started increasing from 2022. Now the forest department is very happy with the presence of tigers. Work is also being done at many levels to continuously increase the number of tigers.
