New Delhi. Ravi Kishan is one of the famous actors of Bollywood industry. People shower a lot of love on his acting. Recently Ravi Kishan remembered an incident from his childhood. He told that his father had once beaten him badly with a leather belt. After this the mother gave him some money and asked him to run away from the village. At that time Ravi Kishan was only 14-15 years old. After being badly beaten by his father, Ravi Kishan ran away to Mumbai.

Ravi told that he used to play the role of Sita in Ramlila in the village. Once his father found out about it, he beat him with a leather belt. The beating was so bad that his skin started falling off.

While talking on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Ravi Kishan said, ‘I used to participate in Ramlila and I used to play the role of Sita ji. I had taken my mother’s saree. Along with some other people, I was preparing for my role the whole day. My father came to know about it and when I returned home he beat me with a leather belt. I remember the way they beat me with a leather belt and my skin was torn off. It seemed as if he had thought that now he will calm me down, there will be no bamboo and no sound of flute.

Mother told me to run away from home
Ravi Kishan said that his father was an intellectual and he was highly respected. He told that the same night his mother gave him Rs 500 and asked him to leave the village because she feared for his life. Ravi Kishan told, ‘That night my mother thought that father would kill me, so she gave me 500 rupees and told me to take the train and run away from here, otherwise he will kill you. you run away. I was about 14-15 years old. I reached Mumbai in that situation.

Talking about work front, this year Ravi Kishan was seen in the film ‘Laapta Ladies’. The film was produced by Aamir Khan and the director was his ex-wife Kiran Rao. ‘Missing Ladies’ was selected as India’s official entry for the 2025 Academy Awards, but the film failed to make the shortlist for the Best International Feature category of the Oscars 2025.
