New Delhi. Marathi actress Prajakta Mali is in the headlines these days. During a program in Beed, BJP MLA Suresh Dhas had targeted Dhananjay Munde by taking the name of Prajakta Mali. By taking the name of Prajakta, this matter escalated a lot and now the actress has filed a complaint in the Women’s Commission against MLA Suresh Dhas in the derogatory comment case. He has also decided to write a letter to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and meet him and demand appropriate action in the matter.

While talking to the media, Prajakta Mali had expressed his displeasure over the statement of Suresh Dhas. He said that politicians often use the names of film industry artists for their politics. She says, ‘All this was happening for the last one and a half month. I was silent till now, it does not mean that I agree with whatever he said.

While targeting Dhananjay Munde and his politics, Suresh Dhas had used the name of Prajakta Mali. He had said, ‘Where did Dhanubhau get so much money in the last five years? Rashmika Mandanna, Sapna Choudhary who dance very well, and now Prajakta Mali have also started coming to Parli, those who want to do event management politics, they should come to Parli, learn from here and promote it across the country.

Marathi stars supported
Many stars of Marathi industry came forward and supported Prajakta Mali. Gautami Patil had said in support of the actress, ‘An artist is always an artist. One should not defame anyone by associating his name with him. Prajakta Mali is absolutely right in his place. I was also trolled in the same way, but I did not lose courage. Therefore, Prajakta should also present his art strongly.

The director of the program ‘Maharashtrachi Hasimajatra’ had also posted in support of the actress. The veteran director had written in his post, ‘The society in which women are respected is considered civilized. A society that respects art and artists is cultured. What is happening with Prajakta Mali is condemnable and sad. We should move towards a healthy and strong society.
