Actually, calendar is bought in every house in the new year, but today we are talking about it. That calendar of Jabalpur, which has reached not only from Kashmir to Kanyakumari but also abroad.

Lala Ramswaroop Ramnarayan and Sons meaning 71, 72 and 73 is the only calendar of India which is the oldest. 1934 means 91 years old… This pre-independence calendar is now reaching every corner of India, whose reins are now being handled by the third generation of Jabalpur, with whom Local 18 had a special conversation….

The entire city residents used to ask the date and time.
Kailash Aggarwal, editor of Lala Ramswaroop Ramnarayan & Sons, said that I am the second generation, while my son is now holding the reins, who is the third generation. He told that the almanac was started from 1934. During the British rule, there was no mention of Hindi festivals in the English calendar, whereas the Hindi calendars were written in Sanskrit language. It was difficult for common people to read such calendars. Therefore, people used to come again and again to ask father Ram Narayan. Which festival and fast is pickup? Father used to keep all the information written in the English calendar, due to which he started printing calendars.

Started with 500 calendars, now reached 40 lakh
He told that in 1934, father had started with 500 calendars, in which Hindu festivals were marked in the English calendar. Now, after 91 years, about 40 lakh calendars are printed, which are delivered to every state of India, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Not only this, almanacs are liked even in foreign countries. He told that apart from the date and zodiac sign, important information is included on both sides of the calendar in the Panchang, which includes all the social events and important numbers.

Printing of the 2026 calendar begins
He told that it takes one year to collect information about the calendar. Therefore, we have started collecting information about the calendar for the next year 2026, because accurate information about festivals, horoscopes and dates is given through the calendar, where many predictions are made in the calendar through astrology. After this a large number of calendars have to be printed. Therefore it takes about 1 year to print the calendar. He said that by printing the calendar, we are also working to carry forward the tradition of our generation.

Calendar sounded the bugle during independence
He told that the first calendar of independence had done the work of blowing the bugle, where Lala Ramswarup Ramnarayan Panchang had also printed the revolutionary slogans given by great men in its calendar, due to which a positive message was sent in the society and somewhere in the Panchang, The medium also played its role in independence. He appealed to Local 18 that if any festival or celebration of any society is to be included in the calendar. Then accurate information can be given free of cost. Which will be included in the next issue.
