Chhatarpur. In Atrar village of the district, the Sarpanch has been accused of boycotting 20 people on the issue of untouchability. Last Tuesday, seven villagers including a woman filed a complaint in the SP office. He says that the Sarpanch has ostracized 20 people of the village for offering Prasad in the temple. Now these people are not allowed to attend any social event or invitation in the village.
Actually, Jagat Ahirwar, a resident of Atrar village, had offered Prasad in the temple of Baba Ji of Talaiya village on August 20. Jagat says that this Prasad was eaten by the village priest and other villagers. After this, Sarpanch Santosh Tiwari boycotted these 20 people. The villagers allege that they have been ostracized from the society for eating ‘Harijan’s Prasad’.
