Annaatthe: Khushboo Sundar’s shocking revelation, she was cheated by promise in the film ‘Annaatthe’!

New Delhi , Famous director of Tamil cinema, Siva gave blockbuster films like ‘Veeram’ (2014), ‘Vedalam’ (2015), ‘Vivegam’ (2017), and ‘Vishwasam’ (2019) with Ajith Kumar. However, this wave of his success stopped with ‘Annathe’ (2021) and ‘Kanguva’ (2024). Both the films, which had big stars like superstar Rajinikanth and Suriya, did not live up to the expectations.

Actress Khushboo Sundar, who played an important role in ‘Annathe’, has now expressed regret about her role in the film. In an interview, Khushboo admitted that her role was not what was promised to her.

Khushboo told, ‘Mine and Meenaji’s character in the film was taken thinking that both of us would be the lead actresses. I was assured that there would be no other heroine opposite Rajini sir but as the film progressed, changes were made in the story and my character was transformed into a comedy. When I saw it during the dubbing of the film, I was very disappointed.

Khushboo told that initially separate songs were decided for Meenaji and her with Rajinikanth but later Nayanthara was included as Rajinikanth’s girlfriend. Due to this, the characters of Khushboo and Meenaji were left behind.

When asked whether this change happened on the suggestion of Rajinikanth, Khushboo rejected it outright. He said, “Rajini sir is not such a person. I have known him for years. I don’t know who made this change, whether it was the demand of the fans or the plan of the director-producer.”

Khushboo also shared that her list of Hindi films is small, so she has no regrets there but in South Indian films, especially in recent projects, she regrets choosing some films.
