According to the report of South China Morning Post, Chinese billionaire Richard Liu Qiangdong has given the people of his village something which they never expected. He used to live in Guangming village of Jiangsu province and even after becoming a billionaire, he comes here and does something that leaves the villagers unable to stop tears.

Never had money to pay the fees…
Now 50 years old, Richard Liu Qiangdong is the chairman of China’s leading e-commerce website and is among the richest people of the country. However, his life was not always like this. He lived in Guangming village and belonged to a poor family. He did his schooling from the village school and in the year 1992, he left the village for the first time to study. He was admitted to China’s famous China Renmin University but he did not even have money for the fees. In such a situation, the people of the entire village together donated about Rs 6000 and 76 eggs to him. After this he was able to go to Beijing for studies.

One day he returned as a billionaire…
When Richard achieved success in his life, he brought his wife to the village in the year 2016. During this, he gifted Rs 1 lakh 18 thousand to every elderly person. Apart from this, he also gifted food, clothes and essential household items to every family. A total of 1400 families live in the village and Liu gets their details from the Village Commission and then takes money and gifts for them. This year also he has distributed Rs 1,21,245 to every person above 60 years of age in the village. The villagers say that no one does what they have done. Even if he doesn’t give anything now, he won’t feel bad. Liu himself had told during an interview that his education was completed only because of the people of the village.
