Mumbai. Two Pan India films were released at the box office. The first is Ram Charan and Kiara Advani’s ‘Game Changer’ and the second is Sonu Sood’s ‘Fateh’. The trailers of both the films were well liked. Sonu is in the lead role in Fateh and her opposite is Jacqueline Fernandez. Sonu himself has also directed the film. Whereas Shankar is the director of Game Changer. One is a crime thriller, the other is a political thriller. There is a lot of action in both. Both the films have received mixed response from the audience. But the collection has told which film has dominated the box office on the first day.
Let’s talk first about Sonu Sood’s film ‘Fateh’. In this film based on cyber crime, Sonu was seen in action avatar for the first time. The film has received good reviews from critics. Still it failed to draw the audience to the theatres. Trade analysts had estimated the first day box office collection of Sonu’s ‘Fateh’ to be between Rs 70 lakh to Rs 1 crore, but the film made a better collection than this.
According to the report of Sacknilk, ‘Fateh’ collected Rs 2.45 crore at the box office on the first day. ‘Fateh’ has a direct competition with Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ at the box office. The Hindi version of ‘Game Changer’ has collected more than twice that of Fateh i.e. Rs 7 crore.
According to the report, ‘Game Changer’ earned the highest collection of Rs 42 crore in the Telugu version on the opening day. After this he earned Rs 7 crore in Hindi. At the same time, it has earned Rs 2.1 crore in Tamil, Rs 10 lakh in Kannada and Rs 5 lakh in Malayalam. The film collected a total of Rs 51.25 crore in India. This is the first film in Ram Charan’s career as a solo lead, which has made so much collection on the opening day.
