Bollywood Vs South Film: Akshay Kumar-Dinesh Vijan replied to Naga Vamsi – ‘Fact is we have 5…’

Mumbai. Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur, Sara Ali Khan and Veer Pahadia starrer ‘Sky Force’ was launched a day earlier. A big event was organized for the trailer launch. Along with Akshay Kumar, its producers Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande were also present at the trailer launch. During this, he responded to the comments made by South Film Industry director producer Naga Vamsi on the Hindi film industry. Naga had recently said that Bollywood makes films only for Bandra and Juhu.

Naga Vamsi had said that South Indian films like ‘Bahubali’, ‘RRR’, ‘Animal’ and ‘Jawaan’ have changed the way Bollywood cinema is viewed. These films were very successful in India and abroad. On this criticism of Naga, first Dinesh Vijan counted the achievements of Bollywood.

Dinesh Vijan said, “Maybe we don’t talk much about ourselves, but the truth is that we have 5 big films. Maddock Films alone, Jio Films alone are not enough to run the industry. “In the last few years, many Hindi films have earned more than Rs 500 crore.” He appealed to see all the industries of India as one.

Dinesh Vijan said that 500 plus 800 equals 1300. Bollywood and South films need to be seen as Indian films. Akshay Kumar also gave a similar reaction. He said that the film industry should not be divided into Bollywood and South. Indian films should be celebrated in a collective manner. He credited South films for changing Bollywood’s approach to storytelling.
