Chennai: IIT Madras will conduct an open house allowing the public to visit its research labs and centres of excellence on Jan 3 and Jan 4. It will also set up 60 stalls showcasing research projects.
“People can explore our cutting-edge research, pioneering technologies, and vibrant academic environment at the campus. They can explore four national research centres and 11 research centres, apart from witnessing the innovation at 15 centres of excellence and 90 advanced laboratories,” a release from IIT Madras said.
Those interested can register using the following link – shaastra.org/open-house. The last date to register is Dec 25.
The two-day event is slated during the first two days of Saastra, the annual technical festival.
“This is a unique opportunity for everyone to visit IIT Madras. It will motivate the young generation,” said professor Sathyanarayana N Gummadi, dean (students), IIT Madras.
Shaastra will be held from Jan 3 to Jan 7 at IIT Madras campus.
