Mumbai: A 30-year-old worker, Vijay Kumar Rajendra Yadav, was electrocuted while operating a grinder machine at a factory in Bhandup on Tuesday. An offence of negligence has been registered at Bhandup police station against the factory owner, Jamal Khan.
Vijay is survived by his wife, Sangita, and their three children—Menka, Amar, and Anamika. Vijay’s younger brother lodged a complaint against the company, demanding accountability and justice.
The incident occurred at a plastic pipe manufacturing company where Vijay was employed as a helper.
According to a statement from the brother, the accident took place around 7.45pm while Vijay was operating a grinder machine when he got electrocuted. His colleagues rushed him to Mulund General Hospital where he was declared ‘dead on arrival’.
The brother of the deceased has accused the company owner of negligence. He alleged safety measures were inadequate.
